Liverpool
Liverpool, best known as the birthplace of the Beatles, is another of England’s most important cities. This architectural wonder alone makes it worthwhile to travel to York to see! The York Minster is the primary attraction. It is the biggest mediaeval cathedral in Northern Europe, and the second largest in the world, after the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris. Beyond the cathedral, the small, twisting lanes of the old district, which is surrounded by walls, will take you back in time to the 13th century.
Edinburgh
Unquestionably one of the most gorgeous cities in the United Kingdom, as well as in Europe. In Edinburgh, you will be transported to a fantastic world where you will be transported back in time to mediaeval times and feel like the protagonist of a good fiction narrative. In fact, it served as the backdrop for the Harry Potter series!
Take a leisurely stroll down the Royal Mile, hike to the top of the hill to see the castle, explore the scenic Dean Village, snap photos of the vibrant Victoria Street, or marvel at St Giles’ Cathedral, among other things. There’s no better site to watch the sunset than Calton Hill, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city.
