If you want to get the most from your Amazon Kindle, here are some Kindle benefits.
Despite what physical book lovers may think, the Amazon Kindle is a revolution in the way we read. It has given people new ways of reading books. Being able to carry hundreds on a portable device that you can store in your bag is a blessing.
Most people don’t know that Kindles offer more than the ability to buy ebooks on Amazon. This article will discuss some of the many Kindle book promotion features that enable you to take full advantage your Amazon ereader.
1. The Benefits of Kindle Unlimited
Although Kindle Unlimited may have its downs, it is still a great program for those who want to read a lot. It is one of the many benefits of owning a Kindle.
Amazon’s huge digital library includes over 1,000,000 ebooks. You can access it for a small subscription fee. The affordable price and vast library place it at par with streaming services such as Netflix. Kindle Unlimited is basically a Netflix app for ebooks.
You can read as many novels every month as you wish, as long as you are a subscriber.
Think Kindle Unlimited costs too much? Take into account the fact that most bestseller ebooks retail for around $10 per piece. Even if you read only one book per month, Kindle Unlimited can be a great deal.
The Kindle Advantages and Disadvantages are clearly the latter.
2. Sign up for the Amazon First Reads Program
Amazon Prime subscribers get two-day free shipping and Prime Video. You may have missed out on other Amazon Prime benefits.
Amazon First Reads, formerly Kindle First, is one such benefit.
Prime members receive one free Kindle ebook each month with Amazon First Reads. Choose a book from a selection of soon-to be-released novels. This means that you will have one-month access to one book per month.
Although many people may be selective about the books they read, there are many genres and categories that each month has to offer. You’re likely to find something you like.
A selection of six hardcover novels can be purchased at a discounted price as an additional bonus. Details can be found at the Amazon Prime benefits page.
Amazon First Reads is a definite benefit to owning a Kindle.
3. Make use of the Kindle Owners Lending Library
A Kindle Owners Lending Library is one more benefit to owning an Amazon Kindle. Anyone who has a full Amazon Prime membership linked to Amazon.co.uk. Amazon.de. Amazon.fr.com or an Amazon.co.jp. account can access it.
KOLL lets you borrow one book per month in Amazon’s vast library. To be eligible to borrow a book from Amazon’s vast library the next month, you will need to return it. However, once you have borrowed a book, you are allowed to read it as many times you like before you return it. You can think of it as a modified library.
Notice: KOLL is not the same as Lending for Kindle. We will explain this feature next.
4. Lend Books for the Lending for Kindle Feature
Did you know that books can be borrowed to friends and family members?
Amazon’s first device was equipped with the ability to lend books via Kindle. However, the Kindle Book Lending function seems to have disappeared.
Although this program is great, there are some limitations. The greatest limitation is that you can only lend one book.
Your ebook will be loaned to you for 14 days. The borrower must return it within that time. Lenders cannot read the ebook while it’s being borrowed.
5. Use the Kindle Public Library
You might ask, “Why should a Kindle be purchased when I have free access to the library?”
Because your Kindle can be used as a literal book library.
One of our favourite Kindle features is the ability for you to check out ebooks available in public libraries. This lending service is great if you’re too busy or unable to visit a library to pick up a book.
6. Get Kindle Magazines & Newspapers
Amazon Kindle provides a unique service for nonfiction updates that you can subscribe too.
This feature, called Kindle Newsstand is a niche one, but it’s surprisingly easy to use. Amazon allows you to subscribe to individual newspapers. Each periodical will come with a separate price tag, and every issue will be delivered on your Kindle as soon as it becomes available.
7. Add Your Device to a Kindle Family Library
One of the lesser-known benefits of Kindle is its ability to offer Kindle Family Library.
If two Amazon accounts have been linked, they can share media through a feature called Amazon Household. Each account can decide whether they wish to share all their media or just a select number of items.
What else can be shared with the Kindle Family Library
Audiobooks.

Prime Reading for Kindle books
The Family Library can also be used to share information.
Kindle newspapers
Kindle magazines.
This could be a great option if you have a tight-knit family that shares your love of books.
8. Check out a Kindle Book sample before you purchase it
One of the best features in Kindle devices, is the ability to download “samples,” or read a selection of ebooks before you buy them.
You don’t have to read the sample by a certain date or pay anything upfront. Once you’ve read the samples, you can easily delete them from your Kindle. This will dramatically reduce the likelihood that you’ll buy something you don’t like.
How does it all work?
If you scroll through the Kindle store using your device, and click on a book’s information page, you will see a button that appears beneath the book price and cover. It should say Try a Sample.
The sample will be automatically downloaded to your device when you click that button.
Most samples are very brief and only last for the first few chapters of a book. These samples are usually long enough for you to decide if you enjoy the style of writing in the book.
You can purchase the full novel by purchasing the sample directly from your Kindle device.
Lastly, the best way to take advantage of your Kindle isn’t through a lending service but rather through the organizational tools on your Kindle.
It’s amazing that each Kindle can store a ton of books. However, once you start buying your first 100 novels, it can be overwhelming.
Amazon offers Collections which allow you to organize your Kindle files into folders that make it easier for you to navigate through them. These folders can be named to suit your needs.
Two folders are called “Complete” or “Currently Reading” on my Kindle. These two folders allow me to organize and sort the books that I’ve read and paid for.
Click on Your Library > Filter to see these collections.
You can make buying, finding and reading books a breeze by manually organizing your files on your Kindle.
Amazon Kindle: Get the Most Out of It
Even if you are a fan of digital ebooks, all of these features can be a great way of making the most of your Kindle. We think these are excellent reasons to purchase a Kindle even if you don’t own one.
