Before committing to your exhibition, be sure to have all the relevant questions asked which will benefit you and the team. Asking the right questions will ensure you are organised and that the day will run as smooth as possible (fingers crossed).
If you’re working with an event team, you should take advantage of the expertise you have available to you and ask all the questions you feel you need the answer too. No question is silly, too big or too small. As long as you are confident that you understand what you have purchased and how the day will run.
There are some questions we feel are important to ask during the planning process, here are 4 to get started with. If you haven’t enquired about these yet, now might be the time to do so.
Exhibition Stand Possibilities
Attending an event is a costly experience and if your business attends more than one during the year, you’ll want to make the most of the stand you have purchased.
Before going ahead with any purchases, ask how the stand can be adapted and discuss the configurations available. Stretch your budget and select the right stand that will see you through many events, from this year and years to come.
Purchasing an exhibition stand is an investment and should be adjustable to meet the fluidity of every business. Take a long look at what the market has to offer.
Stand Space Locations & Size
Location and size are a major deciding factor when choosing a stand space.
Is it on a corner? Will I be seen? How many open sides will it have?
The size and location of the stand will determine the cost of the space, so this will also need to fit with your budget. But this is where you’ll be able to find out what you can get for the budget and decide what is more important to you as an exhibitor.
Discuss Set Up Times
No matter the complexity of your stand, it’s important that you know how long the stand will take to assemble so you can set aside the right amount of time. Discuss the earliest possible entry time and find out if you’re able to set up the night before.
If you’ve using an assembly service, be sure to let the event hall and planners know to expect them on your behalf. This will stop any delays.
Sockets and Electricity
You would like to think every stand space would include electricity and plug sockets etc, but to most people’s surprise this isn’t the case. To have the luxury of using lights, laptops and electricals, it’ll come at an additional cost on top of the space charge.
Decipher if you’d like stand lights, LED light boxes or TV monitors and work out the most cost effective solution for you to be able to bring an electric product to the stand.
